Ingredients
  

Graham Cracker Crust
  • 1 1/2 cups Graham crackers crushed
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted butter melted
Cheesecake Filling
  • 16 ounces Cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream can be substituted with Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 3 large Eggs essential for binding
  • 1 cup Eggnog use quality store-bought
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg freshly grated is best
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon adds warmth and spice

Method
 

Crust Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter until well combined, then press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
Cheesecake Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer until it’s silky smooth.
  2. Add granulated sugar, sour cream, eggs, eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the cream cheese. Mix everything together until fully combined.
  3. Pour the creamy filling over your prepared crust, and bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.
Cooling
  1. After baking, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  2. Transfer the cheesecake to the fridge and allow it to chill for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Serving
  1. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
