Preparation Steps
- Begin by slicing the beef sirloin against the grain into thin strips.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips and brown them for about 3 minutes, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, toss in diced onions and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and flour, cooking for 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add the beef back into the skillet and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and gently stir in the sour cream.
- Transfer to plates and serve over egg noodles or rice.
