How to Make Ultimate Cozy Slow Cooker Beef Stew
- Cube the beef chuck roast into hearty pieces, about 1-2 inches.
- In a skillet, sauté the onions and minced garlic over medium heat until they're translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Layer the cubed beef, sliced carrots, chopped potatoes, sautéed onions, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and bay leaves into the slow cooker. Stir gently to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the bay leaves, taste, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Ladle the warm stew into bowls and serve with crusty bread.
Notes
Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or rosemary for an extra pop of color and flavor.
