Cooking Instructions
- Generously season both sides of the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each side of the roast for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Chop the onion, carrots, and potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the seared roast at the bottom of your Crock Pot. Layer the chopped vegetables on top, then add the garlic, bay leaves, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the meat and serve it alongside the tender vegetables, drizzled with the cooking juices.
Notes
Optional: Serve with a side of fresh bread to soak up the delicious broth.
