Ingredients
  

For the Roast
  • 3 pounds Chuck Roast well-marbled for tenderness
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
For the Vegetables
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 4 medium Carrots chopped
  • 4 medium Potatoes cut into chunks
For the Broth
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Generously season both sides of the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each side of the roast for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Chop the onion, carrots, and potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Place the seared roast at the bottom of your Crock Pot. Layer the chopped vegetables on top, then add the garlic, bay leaves, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the meat and serve it alongside the tender vegetables, drizzled with the cooking juices.

Notes

Optional: Serve with a side of fresh bread to soak up the delicious broth.
