Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef with chopped onion over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, then mix in tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir together the meat mixture, frozen vegetables, and half of the shredded cheese until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with crushed tortilla chips and sprinkle remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
