  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Instant Yeast Ensure it's fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Substitute with honey or agave syrup if desired
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Crucial for taste
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil Or melt some butter for different taste
  • 1 cup Warm Water Around 110°F (43°C)
For the Cheese Topping
  • 1 cup Akkawi Cheese Substitute with feta for a tangy twist
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Opt for low-moisture mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons Za’atar Spice Mix in sesame seeds or paprika for extra flavor
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt until well blended.
  2. Gradually pour in the olive oil and warm water while stirring the dry ingredients until it forms a shaggy dough.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until soft and elastic. Cover and let rest for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each into a 6-inch circle.
  6. In a bowl, combine the akkawi and mozzarella cheeses until mixed. Spread this mixture evenly over each rolled dough circle.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the cheese and sprinkle za’atar spice on top.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Let cool slightly, garnish with chopped parsley, cut into wedges, and enjoy warm.
