Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Minced; can replace with ginger paste
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions Chopped; extra for garnish

  • 1 cup Cooked Rice Jasmine, basmati, or brown rice
  • Salt and Pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water until it runs clear. Combine it with 2 cups of water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until fluffy.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown 1 pound of ground beef until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then let it simmer for a couple of minutes to meld the flavors.
  4. Spoon the fluffy cooked rice into bowls, then generously top with the seasoned ground beef mixture. Arrange any optional vegetables around the beef.
  5. Finish by garnishing with sesame seeds and extra chopped green onions, along with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze portions for up to 2 months. Reheat as needed.
