How to Make Quick Flavorful Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
- Slice the flank steak against the grain for maximum tenderness. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and sauté until browned, about 3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chopped broccoli, cooking until bright green and slightly crunchy, about 2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and stir well. Cook for another minute.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles. Optional: Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
Notes
Let the sliced beef marinate for 15 minutes in soy sauce for extra flavor. Prevent overcrowding the pan for proper browning.
