  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Use nutritional yeast for dairy-free
  • 1 large Egg Flaxseed meal can be a substitute
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh preferred
  • 2 tbsp Italian Seasoning Fresh herbs enhance flavor
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Can substitute with another vegetable oil
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes Canned or fresh
  • 1 tsp Oregano Mixed herbs can be alternatives

Method
 

Meatball Preparation
  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and a lovely golden-brown finish on your meatballs.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with non-stick spray.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Shape Meatballs: Form the mixture into two-inch meatballs using wet hands.
  5. Bake Meatballs: Place the meatballs on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Make Sauce: Heat olive oil in a saucepan, add crushed tomatoes and oregano, then simmer for about ten minutes.
  7. Serve: Drizzle sauce over meatballs, serving on pasta, in a sub, or as appetizers.
