How to Make Hearty Delicious Authentic German Goulash
  1. Chop the beef into bite-sized cubes, dice the onions and bell peppers.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent, then add garlic and bell peppers.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add beef cubes, and sear all sides until browned.
  4. Sprinkle paprika, salt, pepper, and bay leaves. Stir well to coat the beef.
  5. Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer.
  6. Cover and simmer for 2 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
