For the Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or Turkey Opt for lean meat
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Pre-made saves time
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend preferred
  • 1 cup Chopped Bell Peppers Mix red, yellow, and green for vibrancy
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and add taco seasoning mixed with water. Stir until fragrant.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough into a star shape on the baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends.
  4. Spoon the seasoned meat mixture onto the wide ends of the dough triangles. Top each with shredded cheese and chopped bell peppers.
  5. Fold the dough triangles over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm with sour cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh cilantro or a squeeze of lime. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
