How to Make Garlic Buttered Noodles
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, typically 8-10 minutes. Remember to reserve 3/4 cup of pasta water before draining to help create a lovely sauce later.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over low heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 2 minutes until it becomes fragrant.
- Combine the drained pasta into the skillet, using kitchen tongs to toss it well in the garlic butter sauce.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and keep mixing until it begins to melt and beautifully melds with the noodles.
- Mix in a few tablespoons of the reserved pasta water, along with the remaining tablespoon of butter.
- Season generously with salt and black pepper, tossing to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Serve hot, garnishing with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
Notes
Consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
