How to Make Cozy Ultimate Wild Rice Stuffing
- Rinse the wild rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
- In a saucepan, combine the rinsed wild rice with vegetable broth and cook over medium heat for 45-50 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Sauté chopped onion, minced garlic, sliced mushrooms, and diced celery until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked rice with sautéed vegetables, walnuts or pecans, thyme, and sage in the skillet.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; uncover for the last 5 minutes.
