How to Make Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Orzo
- Gather and dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces, chop the broccoli, and grate the cheddar cheese.
- In a large pot over medium heat, add a splash of oil and cook the diced chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the orzo along with 4 cups of water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until the orzo is nearly tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Once orzo is almost cooked, add the broccoli and cheddar cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the mixture becomes creamy and well-combined.
- Allow the dish to simmer for another 2-3 minutes while adjusting seasonings with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Serve hot for a comforting meal!
