Cake Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan with grease and parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and sugar until combined.
- In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: molasses, eggs, melted butter, and warm water until smooth.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- While cooling, prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and cinnamon.
- Once cooled, frost the cake with the creamy frosting and serve.
