Cooking Instructions
  1. Rinse wild rice until the water runs clear. Combine it with vegetable broth, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for about 45 minutes until tender.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and chopped celery; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown and moisture is released, approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Incorporate toasted almonds into the skillet and mingle for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add cooked wild rice to the skillet, mix in dried basil, and stir gently to combine everything.
  6. Transfer mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy on top.

Notes

Optional: Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
