Preparation
- Thinly slice the beef against the grain.
- Mince the garlic and ginger.
Cooking
- Rinse the rice under cold water until clear; cook according to package instructions.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin or sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear beef for about 3 minutes.
- Pour sauce over beef, simmer for roughly 5 minutes.
- Fluff rice with a fork, serve beef mixture on top, and garnish with chopped green onions.
