How to Make
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Roll tablespoon-sized balls of the dough in powdered sugar until fully coated and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until they are slightly cracked on top but still soft in the center.
- Allow the cookies to cool on a plate for a few minutes before serving.
- Dust with extra powdered sugar just before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor melding and to form beautiful crinkles.
