Steps to Prepare
- Season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper. Let it sit for a few minutes.
- Lightly coat each chicken breast in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly. Add the floured chicken breasts and cook for about 6 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Whisk the remaining flour into the melted butter, then gradually add the chicken broth while stirring.
- Add soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder. Simmer for approximately 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Plate the chicken with a generous drizzle of the rich gravy on top.
