Steps to Prepare
  1. Season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  2. Lightly coat each chicken breast in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly. Add the floured chicken breasts and cook for about 6 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Whisk the remaining flour into the melted butter, then gradually add the chicken broth while stirring.
  5. Add soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder. Simmer for approximately 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Plate the chicken with a generous drizzle of the rich gravy on top.
