Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts Season evenly for full flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Any cooking oil can work in its place.
  • 4 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh garlic offers the best taste.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Opt for low-sodium versions if watching salt intake.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Consider Greek yogurt or coconut milk for lighter alternatives.
  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano is a great substitute.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Herbs Fresh herbs can enhance the flavor.

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

Steps
  1. Start by seasoning the boneless, skinless chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once hot, place the seasoned chicken in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Then, pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring continuously to combine all the flavors.
  4. Stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined in the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes to ensure the chicken is heated through.
  6. Plate the succulent chicken, drizzling the rich sauce on top. Pair with your favorite sides like rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
