How to Make Irresistible Candy Cane Brownies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until it’s completely smooth. Stir in granulated and brown sugars until they meld into a glossy mixture.
- Allow this mixture to cool just a bit, then whisk in the eggs one at a time until each is fully blended.
- Gently fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and a pinch of salt using a spatula without overmixing.
- Fold in half of the crushed candy canes into the batter, reserving the rest for topping.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in your prepared pan and sprinkle the reserved candy canes on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
