For the Creamy Mixture
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Warmed
For Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Freshly ground, to taste
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Chives Chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Wash the red potatoes under cool water, keeping the skin on.
  2. In a large pot, fill with water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and add the potatoes.
  3. Cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  4. Drain the potatoes and let them sit for about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the potatoes to the mixing bowl, add the unsalted butter, and pour in the heavy cream while mashing.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Optionally mix in the chopped fresh chives.
  7. Spoon mashed potatoes into a serving dish and garnish with more chives or a pat of butter.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding roasted garlic or cheese. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
