How to Make Savory Ultimate Japanese Beef & Onsen Egg
  1. Prepare Onsen Eggs: Heat water in a pot until it reaches 167°F (75°C). Add eggs and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Create an ice bath to stop cooking.
  2. Marinate Beef: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sake, mirin, and grated ginger. Add sliced beef, ensuring it's coated. Marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Cook Beef: In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef in batches for about 2 minutes on each side until caramelized.
  4. Plate: Arrange the cooked beef beautifully on bowls or plates for a gourmet effect.
  5. Add Onsen Eggs: Crack each onsen egg over the beef, letting the yolk cascade over the meat.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh scallions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with a touch of sesame oil for extra richness.
