Method

How to Make Watermelon Radish Citrus Salad
  1. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and well-blended, adjusting with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Carefully thinly slice the watermelon radishes to about 1/8-inch thickness. Arrange them beautifully in a large salad bowl.
  3. Peel and segment the citrus fruits, catching any juices to add to the vinaigrette. Toss the citrus segments gently with the sliced radishes.
  4. Sprinkle in the chopped scallions and fresh mint, mixing everything softly to combine the flavors without bruising the ingredients.
  5. Pour the prepared vinaigrette over the radish and citrus mixture, ensuring all ingredients are coated evenly. Allow the salad to rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle black and white sesame seeds on top for extra texture and a lovely finish before serving.

Notes

Optionally, serve immediately chilled for a refreshing boost. Store leftover salad in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
