Baking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- Peel, core, and chop the ripe pears into bite-sized pieces; toss with lemon juice.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, then mix in vanilla.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then stir in the chopped pears.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool for ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
