Method

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. Grease and flour your bundt pan generously.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and ground nutmeg.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour in the eggnog.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together powdered sugar and butter until fluffy. Add vanilla extract and enough eggnog for desired consistency.
  2. Spread or drizzle the eggnog frosting over the cooled cake, letting it cascade down the sides.

Notes

Top with a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon for an extra festive touch. Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting to avoid melting.
