  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free flour can be used
  • 2 Eggs Can use a vegan egg replacement
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Crushed cornflakes can be used as an alternative
For Serving
  • 1/4 cup Tonkatsu Sauce Soy sauce or teriyaki can be alternatives

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a dredging station with flour, whisked eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. After baking, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing, and serve with tonkatsu sauce.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the baking sheet and ensure to spray the chicken with cooking oil for an extra crispy texture.
