Preparation
- Press and Prepare Tofu by placing it between paper towels or using a tofu press for about 30 minutes.
- Cut and Coat Tofu by slicing into half-inch slabs, dipping in flour, plant-based egg substitute, and coating with panko.
- Fry Until Golden by heating oil over medium heat and frying coated tofu slices for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Make Curry Sauce by sautéing diced onion until translucent, then adding minced garlic and curry powder followed by coconut milk and vegetable broth.
- Combine and Simmer by adding golden tofu to the sauce and allowing to soak for about 5 minutes.
- Serve It Up by plating the tofu over steamed rice or quinoa and drenching with curry sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds.
