How to Make Cozy Ultimate Wild Rice Stuffing
- Rinse the Rice: Start by rinsing 1 cup of wild rice under cold water to remove any residue.
- Cook the Rice: Combine the rinsed wild rice with 2 cups of vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover, letting it simmer for 45-50 minutes until tender.
- Sauté Your Vegetables: In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add one chopped onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, 2 cups of sliced mushrooms, and 1 cup diced celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Mix Ingredients Together: In a large bowl, combine the cooked wild rice with sautéed vegetables, ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans, and 2 teaspoons each of thyme and sage.
- Season and Bake: Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Transfer to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
